Background
Founded in 1993, ISHCMC is Vietnam’s first IB World School, serving students aged 2 to 18 from more than 60 nationalities. Its Primary and Secondary campuses provide age‑appropriate settings while remaining connected as one school.
Curriculum
Children begin with the IB Primary Years Programme. From Grades 6 to 12, ISHCMC expands choice across IB and AP. Senior students may pursue the full IB Diploma Programme, individual IB/AP courses, or the ISHCMC High School Diploma. With 34 IB Diploma subjects and more than 10 languages, students can tailor their programme to their strengths and future plans.
Support
Students benefit from EAL and learning support throughout their school journey, from classroom differentiation to individualised education plans. From Grade 9, one-to-one university counselling supports future planning, while a peer buddy system helps new students settle into the ISHCMC community.
Facilities
At the Primary Campus, Makerspace and Fab Lab environments inspire hands-on learning, alongside a swimming pool and playgrounds. At the Secondary Campus, specialist laboratories and design technology spaces support advanced learning, complemented by a black box theatre, University Centre, and dedicated sports facilities. Across both campuses, 95+ after-school activities extend students’ interests through sports, arts, and service.
Location
Both campuses are in Thao Dien, Thu Duc City, one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most established expat neighbourhoods. Families benefit from proximity to cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, gyms, and boutique shops, while being just 15 minutes from the historic city centre.
Fees
Annual tuition ranges from VND 279,000,000 (Early Explorers, half day) to VND 959,000,000 (Grade 12). Admissions fees are VND 25,000,000 for Early Explorer to Kindergarten and VND 50,000,000 for Grades 1 to 12.
From the head of school
“For more than three decades, generations of students at ISHCMC have learned from those who came before them and added something of their own. They inherit more than a school. They inherit a community, a way of learning, and relationships that can open doors. Then they leave something stronger for the students who follow.”
